Only 5 liters of water for one kilo of tomato
To grow one kilo of tomato, it takes about 5 liters of water. That may seem like a lot, but this is less than one garden watering can. Compare that to the amount of water you need for a good yield in the vegetable garden. That's because our growers collects, filters and reuses the excess water a plant doesn't use. Not a drop of water goes to waste.

In the greenhouse tomato plants grow up to about 12 meters high, but the greenhouse is not that high at all! Our growers found a solution: the plants grow up along a wire. As soon as the plant reaches the top, they lower it slightly each time and move the plant up horizontally at the top. In grower-speak, this is called turning in, pruning, thieving and lowering.
